June is a good time to plant deciduous fruit trees and winter vegetables, my favourites are beetroot, kale, silverbeet, cauliflower and broccoli. It’s also a very good time to plant garlic; traditionally garlic is planted on the shortest day and is then harvested on the longest day in December.

This list has been adapted from Wendyl’s book Recipes For A Cleaner Life. Here’s the sixteen most nutritious vegetables you can grow, in no particular order.
