Using gloves or plasters to prevent blisters is great if you can anticipate one coming on, but often it’s not until the end of a long day in the garden or wearing a new pair of shoes that you are able to do anything about it.
This blister oil from Wendyl’s book ‘A Natural Year‘ is wonderfully simple and consists of only two common essential oils, both having properties that are known for their ability to heal wounds and which you may already have in your natural remedies kit at home.
Blister Oil
Blisters can be really painful, but I get them less often now that I am no longer trying to squeeze my feet into high heels. Try this treatment next time you get one; it was great when I got a blister on my hand from digging in the garden. It makes the blister less painful and also makes it heal faster.
Simply apply 1 drop lavender oil and 1 drop chamomile oil to the blister. Pat in thoroughly and leave to dry.
