Now that the colder weather has arrived there’s nothing like relaxing in a soothing hot bath, especially with the addition of these fragrant bath salts that you can make yourself. Lavender Bath Salts are ultra-soothing, relaxing, and cleansing, and are easily made with Green Goddess Premium Epsom SaltsGreen Goddess Premium Baking Soda, salt, and a blend of essential oils.

All you have to do is pour several tablespoons of Lavender Bath Salts into your bath as it fills up, then hop in with a good book and let the salts do their thing.  If you feel like your skin is a bit dry, add some finely ground old-fashioned oatmeal (about half a cup). An oatmeal soak will leave your skin super soft and will also help with inflamed or sensitive skin.

If you’ve got a cold, adding four drops each of tea-tree and peppermint essential oils helps stimulate your immune system.

Homemade Lavender Bath Salts

1 cup Rock salt or Himalayan salt

1/2 cup Green Goddess Premium Epsom Salts

1/2 cup Green Goddess Premium Baking Soda

5 Drops Lavender Essential oil

2 Drops Ylang Ylang Essential oil

Mix all ingredients together thoroughly and store in a glass jar or other airtight container. Use a few tablespoons per bath.
