In our book Recipes For A Cleaner Life, there’s a recipe for Liquid Hand Wash that contains Sunlight soap, we’ve had a few people with sensitivities ask for a liquid soap recipe that is made with Castile soap instead.
This DIY recipe works best in a foaming soap dispenser; when used this way it will last about three times as long as a regular liquid soap dispenser which makes it very economical. If you don’t feel like making your own soap, you can always purchase our already made Rose Foaming Soap here.
You’ll need
3/4 cup filtered water
1/4 cup Dr Bronners Lavender Liquid Castile Soap
1 tsp vegetable glycerine
2 drops of lavender essential oil
1 foaming soap bottle (not a regular liquid soap bottle)
Here’s how to make it
Get your foaming soap bottle and pour the water in, you do not want to add the Castile soap first as it will foam up.
Next carefully pour in the Castile soap, the slower the better. Then add the glycerine and lavender essential oil.
Place the top on the bottle and swirl around to combine the ingredients and give the bottle a few pumps to get started.
