We all feel good when we take care of our bodies and our hands and nails are no exception to that rule. We use our hands all of the time and probably forget to give them the love and care they deserve.

Commercial nail polishes use toluene and formaldehyde, both of which are highly toxic and can cause headaches, nausea, asthma, rashes and throat irritation.

Try making this polishing paste as a natural alternative and embrace your nails’ new healthy glow.

Nail polish addicts will know that all those chemicals can take their toll on your nails and cuticles, so it is important to give them polish-free days. On those days apply this oil mixture to make up for the drying effect of the polish and remover.

DIY Polishing Paste For Nails

Add the baking soda and mix to a paste with the olive oil.

Put some paste on a soft cloth and rub gently back and forth over your nails. This is a great thing to use before you buff your nails, as it brings them up to a brilliant shine all on its own.
