Wick’s Avocado Chocolate Smoothie
½ avocado, flesh only
½ frozen banana
1 medjool date, pip removed
2 T cacao powder
1/3 c unsweetened greek yoghurt
10 almonds (or a tablespoon of almond butter)
2 T chia seeds
a scoop of plain protein powder (or chocolate, approx 1 1/2 tablespoons)
1 c almond milk or normal milk
½ c crushed ice
cacao nibs to serve
Instructions
1. Using your food processor, combine all the ingredients and blitz until smooth, add more milk until desired consistency, (I like mine super thick and eat it with a spoon). Sprinkle with cacao nibs if using. Serve immediately.
If using a Thermomix, add all ingredients to the mixing bowl and blend 1 min/speed 10, scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl and repeat if required. Add more milk until desired consistency.
