I’m always on the hunt for healthy refined sugar free delicious recipes. I’m such an obsessive foodie that I don’t even like smoothies and shakes because that would mean I’d be less hungry for delicious food!
I use minimum 70% dark chocolate but preferably 85% in all my recipes. This rich chocolate torte made with pecan flour, dark chocolate and coconut milk is sweetened with maple syrup. It’s smooth and creamy in the mouth and totally divine.
Melly’s Ultimate Chocolate Torte
For the base:
250gm pecan or almond flour
3tbsp cocoa
1tsp cinnamon
50gm coconut oil
3tbsp maple syrup
1/2 tsp salt
Mix it all up – press into a 23cm tin and bake at 180C for 15mins
Filling:
1 can coconut milk
430gm dark chocolate
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp salt
Heat the coconut milk then put chocolate on top and when soft mix in with rest of ingredients and pour into base
Set in fridge for several hours and then dive into that chocolatey goodness!
