Incorporating the goodness of hemp seeds, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and linseeds these crunchy crackers are packed with essential vitamins and minerals making them fantastic for snacking – and what’s more they’re super easy to make.
As well as being a good source of protein, fibre, healthy fatty acids, magnesium, zinc and selenium these tasty crackers are vegan, sugar-free, egg-free and nut-free.
This recipe is from one of my good friends, they are perfect to serve on an antipasto platter with Trisha’s Homemade Hummus for even more nutrition and deliciousness!
Hemp Seed Dallas Crackers
Ingredients:
1/2 cup linseeds
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1/4 cup hemp seeds
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1 3/4 cups flour, wholegrain is fine
1 cup water
1/2 cup olive, canola or rice bran oil
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp salt
Method:
Mix all ingredients together.
Roll the mixture out thinly between sheets of baking paper.
Cut into shapes before baking.
Lift sheet on tray and bake for 15 – 20mins at 200 degrees celsius.
Makes 4 trays (reuse the baking paper).
