Brightly coloured drinks, lollies and packaged foods dominate our supermarket shelves, aimed at children who may then develop a life long addiction to these toxic coloured ‘treats’.
Wendyl Nissen put out a book years ago, The Supermarket Companion, How To Bring home Good Food, which highlights the dangers of food additives and artificial colouring. Now there is a film that in my opinion everyone should watch.
To Dye For: The Documentary, is a groundbreaking film by Brandon and Whitney Cawood, that shines a spotlight on the untold story of synthetic dyes. What began as a personal journey to understand their child’s sensitivity to these additives soon evolved into an eye-opening exploration of the neurological and physical effects of synthetic dyes on individuals and families worldwide.
Many people have not given much thought to what gives these products their vivid appeal? The answer often lies in synthetic dyes – a staple of modern food manufacturing. While they add visual allure, their hidden impact on our health and wellbeing is a growing concern.
To Dye For was released on January 14, 2025!
Brandon and Whitney have dedicated the past 2.5 years to bringing this film to life, balancing it alongside their day jobs while relying on faith, your support, and countless prayers.
This isn’t a big budget studio production, it’s a grassroots, independent film born from passion and perseverance. Made possible by friends and a community united by a shared mission, it’s a labour of love aimed at sharing an important truth with the world.
