Keep Your White Sneakers Looking Fresh – Naturally!
There’s nothing quite like a crisp, clean pair of white sneakers. But keeping them that way? That’s another story. After struggling with stubborn scuffs and dirt, I tried a simple, all-natural shoe whitener that’s surprisingly effective.
This method uses just three natural ingredients you probably already have on hand: baking soda, liquid Castile soap, and white vinegar. It’s gentle, non-toxic, and works beautifully on both canvas and rubber soles.

DIY Natural Shoe Whitener
You’ll need:
1/4 cup Green Goddess Premium Baking Soda
2 teaspoons Green Goddess Hemp & Eucalyptus Liquid Castile Dish Wash
1/4 cup Green Goddess Premium Double Strength White Vinegar
Medium bristled brush
Jar with high sides
Instructions:
Combine the baking soda, dish wash, and vinegar in a jar. Be prepared - it will bubble up! Mix until it forms a thick paste.
Rub the paste all over your shoes, including laces and the sides of the soles.
Leave it for a couple of minutes, then brush off using a brush dipped in water. Keep dipping and brushing until all the mixture is removed.
For stubborn spots, apply a little hemp & eucalyptus dish wash directly to the stain, rub firmly, and rinse.
Stuff your shoes with newspaper to help them keep their shape and let them air dry.
This natural combo leaves white sneakers looking fresh again without harsh chemicals.
