There’s nothing quite like a warm bath to help you unwind, and adding a handmade bath bomb makes it even more of a treat. These Mini Lavender Bath Bombs are simple to make, beautifully scented, and a lovely way to bring a little calm into your day.
Made with Epsom salts, baking soda, and nourishing coconut oil, they gently fizz and dissolve, releasing the relaxing scent of pure lavender essential oil. The mini size is perfect for a full bath or a soothing foot soak, and they’re made in an ice cube tray so no fancy molds required.
Best of all, you’ll know exactly what’s in them: no synthetic fragrances, dyes, or fillers - just natural, skin-friendly ingredients. Keep a jar for yourself, or wrap a few in paper or muslin as thoughtful handmade gifts.
Mini Lavender Bath Bombs
These small bath bombs are gentle, effective, and easy to make. Lavender is calming for the body and mind, and Epsom salts help relax muscles and ease tension. The mini size is ideal for foot baths, kids’ baths, or a subtle scent in a full tub.
Ingredients
½ cup baking soda
¼ cup citric acid
¼ cup Epsom salts
¼ cup cornflour or arrowroot powder
1½ tbsp melted coconut oil (or sweet almond oil)
10–15 drops lavender essential oil
1–2 tsp dried lavender flowers (optional, for texture and decoration)
1–2 tsp water or witch hazel in a spray bottle (just enough to bind)
Silicone ice cube tray
Method
In a bowl, combine the dry ingredients: baking soda, citric acid, Epsom salts, cornflour, and dried lavender if using.
In a separate bowl, mix the coconut oil and lavender essential oil.
Add the oil mixture to the dry ingredients and stir well. It may still look a little dry.
Very slowly spray or add water a few drops at a time, mixing constantly, until the mixture holds together when squeezed but isn’t wet or fizzy.
Pack the mixture firmly into each cavity of the ice cube tray, pressing hard to compact them.
Let dry at room temperature for 24–48 hours, then gently pop them out and store in an airtight container.
How To Use
Drop 1–2 mini bombs into a warm bath or 1 into a foot soak bath.
