DIY Yoga Mat Cleaner

Yoga mats are used for everything from yoga and Pilates to stretching and workouts, so they can quickly pick up sweat, body oils and dead skin. Giving your mat a regular clean helps keep it fresh and hygienic.

I’m not a fan of putting yoga mats in the washing machine or soaking them, as they can become waterlogged and take forever to dry. I also avoid leaving them in the sun too often, as this can cause the material to dry out and become brittle.

Instead, try making this simple DIY Yoga Mat Cleaner using Tea Tree and Eucalyptus essential oils, which are naturally cleansing.

Simply spray both sides of your mat, wipe over with a damp cloth and leave it to dry completely before rolling it up.

DIY Yoga Mat Cleaner

1/3 cup Green Goddess Premium White Vinegar

1 cup Filtered Water

1 ml Tee Tree Oil

1 ml Eucalyptus Oil

Place all the ingredients into a spray bottle and shake well before each use.

Spray your mat on both sides and let it sit for a couple of minutes, then wipe over with a damp cloth and let air dry or dry with a towel.
