Grout is notoriously difficult to clean, and lighter shades tend to discolour quickly. While conventional cleaners may work, the chemical footprint they leave in the home is not worth it!
Luckily, we’ve got a super simple natural solution to keeping your grout looking clean and as good as new.
Ingredients:
6 cups of hot water
1/3 cup Green Goddess Premium Baking Soda
1/3 cup Green Goddess Premium White Vinegar
1/3 cup lemon juice and 3ml Tea Tree Essential Oil
To make the grout cleaner mix the baking soda into the hot water until it has dissolved, then add the other ingredients and mix well. Apply the mixture to the grout and leave for 10 mins then use an old toothbrush or a grout brush to scrub the grout, adding more grout cleaner if necessary. Wash off with water.
If you have silicone grout and the mould has penetrated it you would be better to replace the silicone.
