sunfed chicken free tikka masala

This week’s recipe from Sunfed for Chicken Free Chicken Tikka Masala is vegan, high in protein and packed full of nutrition. Made from premium yellow pea protein this plant based ‘meat’ is the perfect substitute for chicken in your favourite recipes and it’s safe for those with gluten, dairy and soy allergies.

Combined with delicious herbs and spices this ‘chicken’ masala curry is sure to make it on to your list of favourite meat-free meals.

SUNFED CHICKEN FREE CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA

Serves: 2 | Prep + Cooking time: 20 mins

INGREDIENTS

1 white onion, finely sliced

½ can chopped tomatoes

1 tbs tomato paste

1 tsp cumin powder

2 garlic cloves, crushed

1 tsp crushed ginger

2 tbs coconut yogurt

A handful of fresh coriander leaves

1 tsp garam masala

2 cups cooked basmati rice

½ box Sunfed Chicken Free Chicken

METHOD

Heat a little coconut oil in a pan and cook the onion until soft.

Add the garlic, ginger, cumin and garam masala and stir through.

Add the chopped tomatoes and tomato paste, stir through again.

Add the coconut yoghurt, combine and add Sunfed Chicken Free Chicken.

Cook for around 5 minutes, until Sunfed Chicken is nice and tender.

Serve with hot basmati rice and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

For chunkier bites, keep Sunfed Chicken pieces bigger.

Minimal stirring best.
