Do you use dryer balls when drying your clothes, sheets and towels in the dryer? Dryer balls bounce around in the dryer separating laundry so that more air can circulate in and around the items drying helping them to dry faster and more evenly.
Dryer balls can also make your clothes smell nice if you have scented dryer balls. This clever DIY uses tennis balls wrapped in socks, as you make each ball add a few drops of essential oil to the sock layer if you’d like fragrant smelling laundry.
Using dryer balls can also help make your clothes softer and towels fluffier.
Socked Tennis Ball Dryer Balls
These are very easy to make, you can use the simple version or sew them for a fancier version. I just popped a tennis ball into a sock that had previously lost its partner and tied up the end, you can cut the end off or leave it as is.
For the fancy version put the tennis ball into the sock then cut leaving enough sock to tuck one part in and fold the other part over. Next slip stitch along the fold so that the sock is neatly sewn up.
