I’m still on the foot odour warpath – surrounded by teenagers and a football mad fiancé there are smelly shoes everywhere! I’ve been using the shoe deodorisers I posted the recipe for last week; they’re good at keeping smells away, but not so good at solving lingering odours that have already taken up residence in well-loved shoes (especially sports shoes).
In my quest to solve this smelly issue, I’ve created a shoe and foot spray. You can use this spray directly in the offending shoes and also on the soles of feet before putting shoes and socks on.
Shoe and Foot Spray
4 ml Lemon
3 ml Rosemary
2 ml Tea Tree
2.5 ml Lavender
11 drops Frankincense
10 drops Citronella
220ml Witch-hazel
Combine the essential oils and witch-hazel in a 250ml bottle with a spray lid, shake well to combine and spray into offending shoes and onto feet before wearing.
