SEEDBOMB

I love this idea because it aims to take urban land covered in weeds and serving no purpose at all and cover them in wild flowers.  It’s well worth going to http://www.guerrillagardening.org/, where I got this recipe, to see some of their projects. Meanwhile, why not take a look around you to see if there’s some land near you that could be better utilised? Here’s a great recipe for a seed bomb which can be safely propelled from any car window or bicycle (making sure you don’t hit anyone or disturb any animals), or during a walk onto a bit of land and possibly start something nice.
Seed Bomb
clay
compost
wildflower seeds suited to the area sunflower seeds
water
In a bucket, mix 5 parts clay to 1 part compost, throwing in a handful of seeds of your choice. Add water if you need it and mould into balls. Let dry for three days and when hard, throw them on vacant land. Check it out in a few months to see if it worked!
