This moisturising cream is super simple but good enough to eat – almost. The rose petals add a hint of colour and are also anti-inflammatory, they help sooth itchiness, reduce redness and are especially gentle for sun-damaged skin.
Whip this cream up in a blender and pour into a tin (a repurposed deodorant tin works well) or jar, store in a cool place and use every time you need some serious moisturising.
Rose Petal Moisturising Cream
1/2 Cup Coconut Oil
3/4 Cup Shea Butter
6 Rose Petals, chopped
10 Drops Sweet Orange Essential Oil
8 Drops Frankincense Essential oil
Place all ingredients into a bowl and blend with a cake mixer or you can whip by hand, if the coconut oil is a little hard it will soften up the more you blend it, keep going until you get a lovely creamy consistency and the petals have broken down.
