This excellent insect and mildew treatment uses rhubarb leaves that are chopped up and simmered in water to make a solution that you can spray onto plants.
It’s important to note that rhubarb leaves are toxic to humans and animals, so once you spray your plants do not eat them (if spraying vegetables) for at least two days. You would have to eat a lot of rhubarb leaves to become ill but it’s wise to wait a couple of days just to be sure.
Also be aware that this spray can also kill bees with direct contact, when spraying do so late in the evening when bees are not foraging. Do not spray on pollinating flowers or flowering plants that bees frequent.
