Moisturising Lotion Bars
These bars smell wonderful and make your skin feel amazing. I use mine in the shower as an all over moisturiser just before I hop out; however, I’ve also found they’re great to use instead of soap when shaving your legs as they leave your skin silky smooth while sealing in moisture.
As with the bath bomb recipe, they’re easiest made in silicon moulds – there are some really cute Christmas ones around at the moment. If you don’t have a silicon mould, try pouring the mixture into cupcake/muffin trays (only fill halfway up) To get them out once they’re set, heat the bottom of the tray with warm water and slide them out with a knife.
Ingredients

  • 240g Raw Organic Cacao Butter  (I love LifeFoods Cacao for it’s chocolaty smell)
  • 120g Shea Butter
  • 2 tbsp Wheat Grass Powder or Green Tea Powder (optional as it makes the bars green in colour)
  • 3 tbsp Organic Hemp Seed Oil
  • 3ml Ylang Ylang Essential Oil
  • 3ml Frankincense Essential Oil

Directions
Heat all the ingredients in a double boiler, or in a bowl over hot water, once melted stir well to combine and make sure the powder has dissolved, this can fall to the bottom when setting if it’s not dissolved. Next carefully pour into moulds and leave to set overnight.  When I made these bars each weighed around 50g so this recipe will make approx 14 rounds/cubes but it really depends on the size of your mould as to how many you’ll get.
