The revolution is now gracing our shores, all the way from its huge success in Finland. Competitive Hobbyhorsing kicks off at 11.00am at the Blackpool Old School on Waiheke Island, June 25th for ages 8-14. Schoolgirl Emma Wilton is organising the event due to the huge amount of interest she received when mentioning the idea on the Waiheke Community Facebook Page. Read her article here.
You may be rolling your eyes – but Hobbyhorsing is not as easy as it sounds. There are different fence heights, tests/levels in dressage, and even cross country. The best thing is it’s nearly impossible not to laugh when giving it a try – Lucas and I have been practicing around the house, and ending up in fits of laughter is pretty much guaranteed. Check out this humorous group of adult equestrian riders giving dressage a try.
