Give yourself a boost with this uplifting blend of essential oils; perfect for the winter months.

Patchouli, Cinnamon, Sweet Orange, Clove and Ylang Ylang are the perfect blend to warm the senses on a chilly winters day. Snuggle up by the fire with a hot cup of cocoa and unwind with this divine aroma wafting through the room.

Why spend up to $50.00 for a toxin filled fragranced diffuser when you can make your own with pure essential oils instead.

I’ve shared this recipe once before with sweet almond oil as the carrier but found it didn’t work that well over time. I’ve now added the option of a carrier liquid that holds the essential oil scent very well.

Di Propylene Glycol is clear, non-toxic and odourless, it travels up the reeds  with ease and lasts a lot longer, however it’s not a natural product, for more information and to decide if it’s right for you go here. I’ve been using it and prefer it to almond oil.

 Winter Blend Oil Diffuser

Glass diffuser with reeds (buy one here)

¼ Cup Sweet Almond Oil or 1/4 Cup Di Propylene Glycol

4 ml Patchouli Essential Oil

4 ml Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil

3 ml Sweet Orange Essential Oil

2 ml Clove Bud Essential Oil

1 ml Ylang Ylang Essential Oil

Pour the essential oils and carrier into your diffuser and swirl really well to combine, add the reeds and let them soak for an hour, then flip them over to promote the scent travelling along the channels. Do this every so often.
