I have become painfully aware of the toxicity of regular cleaning products, especially ones that are used in the bathtub. I love a good relaxing bath with calming bath salts and essential oils, and the last thing I want to think about is the harsh chemical residue coming off of the tub and soaking into my skin. Cleaning bathtubs and showers can be difficult with natural cleaners, but this recipe really does the trick.
This paste includes baking soda which is a great stain remover – perfect for baths, showers, and bench tops to remove stubborn stains without harsh scratching and damage. This paste works great for cleaning your home naturally and prevents having to put in a ton of elbow grease to get the tougher areas of your home clean.
We especially love it for the bathroom, but it works well on your stove too. Simply apply the paste with a scrub brush and happy cleaning! Just a light rub with a little paste and your bath and sinks will be sparkling like new.
The recipe is enough to last ages. A little goes a long way. Rose cleaning paste is my favourite go-to product, cleaning and aromatherapy at the same time!
Rose Cleaning Paste
1 cup Wendyl’s Premium baking soda
1 tbsp cream of tartar
10ml liquid Castile soap (if you have Rose Castile use that and don’t add the essential oil)
5ml warm water
1ml rose essential oil
In a bowl, mix together baking soda and cream of tartar. In another jug mix 10ml of liquid Castile soap with warm water, then slowly pour this into the powder and mix with a fork until you have a paste. Add more water if you need too. Add essential oil and stir to combine. Leave overnight covered with a t-towel to let it expand. In the morning place into an airtight container and use to clean kitchen and bathroom sinks, baths and toilets.
If you don’t have time to make you’re own cleaning paste you can purchase ours ready made here.
