Warmer weather equals hot smelly feet, especially when wearing shoes all day. This humid environment can contribute to athletes foot and the dreaded toenail fungus.
The lavender and tea tree essential oils in this recipe both help to kill bacteria whilst the corn starch, baking soda and powder will soak up odours and help to keep your feet dry and moisture free.
DIY Foot Powder
1/2 cup Corn Starch
1/4 cup Green Goddess Premium Baking Soda
1/4 cup Baking Powder
4 drops Lavender Essential oil
2 drops Tea Tree Essential oil
Place all ingredients into a jar and shake well to combine. This will keep for up to six months if sealed well and stored out of the sun.
To use, rub a little on your feet before putting your shoes on.
For very smelly foot issues try making an alkaline foot bath by adding 1/4 cup Green Goddess Apple Cider Vinegar to four litres of warm water and soaking your feet to detox and deodorise them. Dry well and apply the powder.
