Another DIY recipe you can quickly whip up for Mothers Day. This soap is fun and easy to make.

Creamed whipped soap is great to use instead of liquid or bar soap when you are doing things like shaving, washing your hair, removing stains on clothes, outdoor cleaning or washing the dog – you can even brush your teeth with it.

You will need a blender, bar of Dr Bronners Baby Mild Castile Bar Soap and warm water. If you have plenty of time you can make this recipe with cubes of soap, if you are in a hurry then grated is the way to go.

DIY Creamy Whipped Soap

1 Bar of Dr Bronners Baby Mild Castile Bar Soap

4 cups warm water

Essential oil of your choice, I like Rose Geranium (don’t put this in if you are using the soap to brush your teeth)

You can also add a spices instead of essential oil or leave it unscented.

Overnight method … Dice the bar of soap into small cubes put into a large pot or container with 4 cups of water and soak overnight. The next day add five drops of essential oil of your choice and blend on low for about 30 seconds, don’t blend on high as your soap will expand too much. You can do this in two halves so that it fits in the blender. Once done scoop the soap into an airtight container. Use within three months.

Same day method … Grate the bar of soap and put into your blender with 4 cups of warm water (not hot as it will expand too much) add five drops of essential oil of your choice and blend on low for about 30 seconds. You can do this in two halves so that it fits in the blender. Once done scoop the soap into an airtight container. Use within three months.
