This homemade face polish recipe is one of my all-time favourites. It leaves your skin feeling refreshed, moisturised and clean. Hemp seed oil, coconut oil, and essential oils work to kill bacteria while providing nutrients and hydration.

Baking soda – which is a good alternative to environmentally disastrous plastic microbeads – gently sloughs off dead skin cells, and cocoa butter soothes and seals in moisture to keep your skin looking radiant and youthful.

Coconut & Hemp Face Polish

65g Wendyl’s Premium Baking Soda

30g Coconut Oil

10g Green Goddess Hemp Seed Oil

10g Cocoa Butter

5 drops Lemon Essential Oil

5 drops Lime Essential Oil

In a bowl over hot water heat up the cocoa butter and coconut oil, once melted take off the heat and add the hemp seed oil, baking soda and essential oils, stir to combine.  Store in a jar with a sealed lid and keep out of the sun. Will keep for up to six months if stored correctly.

Use a teaspoon once or twice a week on your face and neck, mix with a little water and gently massage for 30 seconds, then remove with warm water and a soft cloth. Avoid the eye area. Always do a spot check first when using DIY recipes.
