Can you knit, crochet or quilt a peggy square? Well here’s a wonderful new initiative to help families with new babies. Little Sprouts is a volunteer-run charity that give away FREE life changing boxes (with everything a baby needs at birth) to families who desperately need them.
They have a wonderful new way that you can help them put a handmade wool blanket or cotton quilt in every pack they give away – Little Squares for Little Sprouts!
You can donate your “Little Squares” to Little Sprouts and their fantastic Craft Angels will lovingly bring the squares together to make beautiful blankets and quilts for their babies.
For this project you can donate:
– knitted peggy squares (16 cm squares in DK/8ply, 100% wool yarn)
– crocheted grannie squares (16 cm squares in DK/8ply, 100% wool yarn, and
– fabric charm squares for baby quilts (5″ squares in 100% quilting cotton).
Every square counts! And if we all work together these Little Squares will help to change many babies’ lives.
You can help by making and sending in squares by 13 NOVEMBER 2015 to Little Squares for Little Sprouts, 66 Glen Road, Raumati South, Paraparaumu 5032.
