Bring back the water fountain!
Occasionally I buy a bottle of water and feel really, really guilty about it. Usually it’s because I’m on the road and thirsty and I forgot to fill up a bottle before I left. But what if every town in New Zealand had a water fountain?
In Grey Lynn the council put one in about a year ago and I often see people having a drink. I loved this article about the renaissance in water fountains.
And a reminder not to drink bottled water! If you must have fizzy water as I do, get yourself a Soda Stream and make it yourself. And if you’re in a restaurant always ask for tap water over bottled.
