Blisters are one of those annoying little things that can appear after a long day in the garden, a big walk or wearing a new pair of shoes. By the time you notice that tell-tale sore spot, it’s often too late to prevent one!

If you do end up with a blister, this simple Blister Oil is a handy natural remedy to have in your kit. Made with just two common essential oils, it’s easy to make and uses oils traditionally valued for their soothing and skin-supporting properties

If you do get a blister, this simple treatment is worth trying. I found it particularly helpful when I got one on my hand after a day of digging in the garden.

Simply mix 1 drop of lavender oil with 1 drop of German chamomile oil and gently apply around the blister. Leave to dry.

Both oils are traditionally used for their soothing and skin-supporting properties, making this a handy little natural remedy to have on hand.

For broken skin or an open blister, I’d avoid applying undiluted essential oils directly to the wound.
