Don't Throw Those Citrus Peels Away!

If you've got fruit trees no doubt your fruit bowl is overflowing with lemons, oranges and mandarins - here's a great way to put those leftover peels to good use.

Instead of sending them to the compost, transform them into a citrus scented natural cleaning spray. It's simple to make and is perfect for cleaning around the home.

DIY Citrus Spray Cleaner

Peels from lemons, oranges, mandarins or a combination

1 clean glass jar with a lid

Green Goddess Premium White Cleaning Vinegar (9.9%)

Water

A spray bottle

How to Make It

Fill a clean glass jar about three-quarters full with citrus peels.

Mix equal parts Green Goddess Premium White Cleaning Vinegar and water, then pour over the peels until they're completely covered.

Seal the jar and leave it to infuse for 2–4 weeks, giving it a gentle shake every few days.

Once ready, strain out the peels and pour the beautifully scented cleaning vinegar into a spray bottle.
