DIY Natural Beer Shampoo

It’s so easy to turn your back on commercial products and make your own, but do be warned they feel and act differently so give yourself time to get used to them.

If your hair feels a little stiff when dry just give it a good brush to soften it – there’s a reason they used to brush their hair so much in the old days!

Ingredients

1 cup beer (any inexpensive beer will do—fresh or flat)
1 cup Dr Bronners Baby Mild Liquid Castile Soap – or you can use a scented liquid Castile or your regular natural liquid shampoo

Method

Heat beer in a small saucepan over medium heat and boil until beer is reduced to 1/4 cup.

Let cool and add reduced beer to the Castile soap or shampoo and stir well.

Pour your Shiny Hair Beer Shampoo into a clean squeeze bottle or empty shampoo bottle. (You do not need to refrigerate this product.)

To use shampoo as usual and rinse well.
