Did you know that you can use Green Goddess Premium Baking Soda mixed with corn flour as a dry shampoo? This is a life saviour when starting to use a natural shampoo bar and going through the detox process that can cause your hair to be lifeless and lanky as it adjusts.
It’s also very handy to have if you’re in a rush and don’t have time to wash your hair, or if you’re away at a festival or campground and decide to leave your hair for a few days but still want it to look fresh.
Make sure you use a mined baking soda like ours, not one made in a factory as it’s going on your scalp. You can easily tell a man made baking soda as it won’t have lumps in it and will have more distinguishable granules, most do not have where they are made on the label so buyer beware.
Baking Soda Dry Shampoo
Half a cup Green Goddess Premium Baking Soda
Half a cup corn flour
If you’re a brunette you can add a little cocoa powder and if you’re a red head you can add a little cinnamon (this smells great too)
Mix everything together and keep in a sealed jar or you can put in a shaker with large holes for easy application.
To use sprinkle on your scalp and on any oily or lank strands of hair and work in with your fingers. If you’ve put on a bit much shake your head over the sink to remove some of the powder. If any powder falls on your face remove with a large clean make up brush.
Brush and style your hair as usual.
