anna cooking demonstration

Come and enjoy a cooking demonstration and delicious lunch with Anna Valentine!

Anna from The Veggie Tree is heading down to Auckland at the end of the month to share a few of her favourite plant based recipes that she makes on a regular basis for her family.

Learn how to make your own plant meat alternatives from scratch, including smoky substitutes, a versatile plant cheese made from plant milk, a delicious winter slaw with homemade mayo and tamari salad seeds – all of which will be assembled in the best gluten free buns you’ll ever eat for you to devour at the end of the demo.

Anna Valentine is a chef, recipe creator, cookbook author, food photographer, forager, plant medicine maker, mother and passionate plant-based foodie! She is a master at creating delicious plant-based recipes suited for any dietary requirements.

“I am really conscious as a long term vegetarian about the importance and nutrition in whole foods and how many plant-based alternatives are full of suspect ingredients of which you (and I) do not want on our plates.

Being able to make my own alternatives is empowering and cuts down on plastic waste and costs, plus they also taste great!

I hope you’ll join me on Sunday 27th August!”

When: Sunday 27th August at 12pm       $60.00 includes a divine lunch

Where: NZ Vegetarian Society 4 Warborough Avenue, Epsom, Auckland

If you can’t make it along to the demonstration I highly recommend Anna’s latest cook book Abundance.

From Anna about Abundance …

Abundance is the culmination of the best of the best of my seasonal recipes enhanced with everyday plant-based essentials made from scratch with whole foods. Inspired by the plant kingdoms abundance, the recipes you will find in this book are what I feed my family every day. I strive to make plant-based food accessible, easy, healthy and delicious, recipes that you will come back to time and time again.

This is a compendium of plant-based recipes, the everyday basics that are my fridge and pantry staples which I literally make every week. If you are vegetarian, vegan, plant predominant or just super keen to eat more plants, you have come to the right place. I have even gone so far as making plant protein meat alternatives out of natural ingredients without any unnecessary additives and preservatives, that are super tasty and hit the spot for smoky cravings, and are there for you if you just want to give the kids burgers or nuggets and chips for dinner. The options for making plant milk, cheese, butter, cream amongst many others from scratch are there if you want it, also every recipe can be made fully plant-based and gluten-free.
