RIVERFIRE
Here’s an article that caught my attention this week. It’s about a river in Australia that caught on fire when Australian Greens MP, Jeremy Buckingham, held a lighter above it. The reason it managed to go up in flames: methane leaking into the river which has apparently occurred due to fracking. I’ve got to say that the only information I’ve ever read in support of fracking has come courtesy of the companies who are practicing it. A lot of other scientific research and environmental disasters suggest that fracking carries a lot of potentially disastrous environmental risks with it.
