DIY Cardomon Rose Soap

Our skin is the largest organ in our body, in fact, it covers your entire body and has a surface area of around two square metres. And it is permeable, absorbing toxins that come into contact with it, and transporting them into the bloodstream.

A while ago a reader asked me for a recipe for body wash so I am delighted to share this one that Wendyl invented many years ago. I love this body wash because it smells so divine.

Rose Cardamom Body Wash

200ml filtered water

100ml rosewater

8 green cardamom pods

2 Tbs grated Dr Bronner’s Rose Castile

1 Tbs glycerine

Heat the water in a pot with the cardamom pods and bring to the boil. Put the lid on and steep by turning the heat off and leaving to sit for 10 minutes. Strain the water into a jug or pot and add the rest of the ingredients. Stir until the soap has melted and the ingredients are combined. Pour into a pump bottle. This can get a bit gluggy so be prepared to give it a good shake before using.
