I don’t know about you but I just couldn’t watch all of the Farmwatch hidden camera footage shown on Sunday. What a disgrace that this treatment of pigs is still going on in this country.
In the future I hope to have a pet kunekune up at the Hokianga as I know what great pets they make and how intelligent they are.
I’ve been frustrated for years as organisations like SAFE have tried so hard to get pigs treated humanely and the government continually sides with the pork industry and does very little to help.
We really need to ban factory farming and appoint a Commissioner for Animals in this country to make sure this doesn’t happen.

And I shouldn’t have to remind you to only buy pork which is free-range and local to support those farmers who do look after pigs well.
