Our friend Jaklin – health blogger over at The Modern Health Box – has shared her recently gained knowledge on detoxing. With the festive season about to hit, we’ll be keeping these tips up our sleeve to counter the coming summer indulgence.

“Air and water pollution globally is increasing at a rapid rate so it is more important than ever that we take some control over what we are putting into our bodies, and do everything we can to detoxify our systems through a good nutritious diet and daily exercise.

Not long ago I attended a Tony Robbin’s seminar where we were given amazing nutritional advice by Dr. Mark Hyman – a phenomenal health expert from the United States who has dedicated his life to ‘tackling the root causes of chronic disease.’

I was so inspired by his programme, I wanted to share everything that I

learned from the seminar with you for free!

Below is the outline of his programme that will hopefully give you some insight into why you should optimise your detox system today.

WHAT IS A DETOX?

The science of how our bodies get rid of waste.

WHY ARE PEOPLE GETTING SICK TODAY?

We are exposed to 6 million pounds of mercury and 2.5 billion pounds of other toxic chemicals each year. Eighty thousand toxic chemicals have been released into our environment since the dawn of the industrial revolution, and very few have been tested for their long-term impact on human health.

SYMPTOMS OF CHRONIC TOXICITY INCLUDE:

Fatigue

Muscle aches

Joint pain

Congestion

Headaches

Bloating

Gas

Constipation

Diarrhea

Heartburn

Sleep issues

Difficulty concentrating

Food cravings

Skin challenges

Trouble losing weight

Menstrual disorders

HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU’RE TOXIC?

Your ‘Total Load’ determines how toxic you are. Total Load = the total amount of stresses on your system at one time. We tend to get sick when this hits a certain level.

HOW TO DETOXIFY WITH THE TRIPLE P PROGRAM (PEE, POOP, PERSPIRE)

100 to 150 milligrams of magnesium glycinate

In addition to the information above, I would also recommend purchasing one of his books called ’10 Day Detox Diet.’ The book has helped me tremendously in understanding nutrition and the effect of toxicity on our internal system.”
