I’m not a fan at all of the multi-coloured foam resin shoes that are no doubt filling up landfills and adding to ocean pollution worldwide since their launch in 2002. However, I’m even more concerned about the plastic knock-offs that can contain a frightening number of carcinogenic substances such as solvents, heavy metals and polycyclic aromatic carbons that can be absorbed through your feet and can contribute towards cancer and other health problems.
