Does anyone else struggle to make time for sitting and just being? Time to enjoy a hot drink while it is still hot? Time to breathe deep and be in the moment? After reading how quick and easy Wendyl’s foot soak is I think I may start a new Friday night routine and make some time for me.

“Living in the country, my feet get filthy most days as I trudge around the property in my jandals. So at the end of the day in front of the TV, I sometimes treat myself to this lovely foot soak and give them a good clean. The lemon gets rid of any dirt, the baking soda acts as an exfoliant and the oil leaves them nicely moisturised. The lavender oil makes them smell nice and also acts as an antiseptic for any cuts you might have. If you like you can also rub in some moisturiser or oil after you have dried your feet”.

1 bucket large enough to fit both of your feet into comfortably

juice of a large lemon

1/2 cup baking soda

1/4 cup of olive oil

20 drops of lavender oil

Fill the bucket with hot water and add all of the ingredients. Leave your feet to soak for 15-20 minutes, then give them a scrub all over with a nail brush. Dry and either rub with some more lavender oil or leave them as they are.
