long driveway

While we enjoy the sunny weather, it’s a great time to give your driveway, pavers and concrete paths a good clean ready for the winter months. By cleaning these surfaces now, you will keep them free of slime and moss that thrives in rainy weather.

Grant created this recipe a few years ago and it works a treat. The method is fairly easy, all it takes is a bit of elbow grease and a few hours of nice weather.

DIY Paving & Driveway Cleaner

Clean the area by brushing away any debris with an outdoor broom. Once done get your bucket of liquid, dip in your broom and brush over the whole area making sure the surface is totally covered. Leave on for two hours then brush what’s left around with the broom to move any stubborn dirt and moss, finally wash down with a relatively high powered hose. Leave to dry (hopefully in the sun) and that’s it.

Here’s what you’ll need…

3 Tbsp Dish wash liquid

Grant used Green Goddess Hemp & Eucalyptus Liquid Castile Cleaning & Dish Wash

1/2 Cup Green Goddess Premium Borax

1 Cup Green Goddess Premium Soda Ash

A large bucket and stiff bristled broom

Fill your bucket half full with warm water, add the borax and soda ash and stir to combine, add the dish wash and stir again and you’re ready to brush.
